Set high above Forresters Beach, this project involved the construction of multiple terraced garden levels designed to stabilise the steep site while creating practical outdoor living areas. Timber retaining walls, integrated lit-up stairways, and structured planting zones work together to navigate the natural slope, establishing a clear connection between the home and the landscape below. Careful grading and layout planning allowed previously underutilised spaces to become accessible, usable and visually connected.
At the heart of the project is a relaxed fire pit terrace positioned to capture the coastal views, complemented by lawn areas, meandering pathways and layered planting that will continue to mature over time. The combination of natural materials, soft landscaping and considered construction delivers a garden that feels both grounded in its environment and purpose-built for everyday enjoyment, transforming a difficult site into a highly functional coastal retreat.
